Frequently Asked Questions

What is TCV and what are the benefits?

(see "What is TCV?")

How Can I find a teacher of TCV?

There are only 7 certified instructors of The Connected Voice Technique in all of FL. The cities that are covered in FL are listed on our home page. You may also visit FloridaSings!!! for more listings and contact information.

What are your prices?

All specific prices for all classes and private lessons are found on each individual mentors web page. Infant / Toddler Classes "Music Together" are based on a 10 week session rate. All private instruction is based on either 1/2 hour or 1 hour sessions.

When are payments due?

You are given two options for paying for private lessons. When the Registration form is filled out you may choose to either pay by the month on the 1st of each month or at each weekly lesson taken. The student may not return to the next month of lessons if payments are not current. We respect your time and ask that you respect ours as well.

What happens during a private lesson?

Over the course of your private lesson we will ask you about your goals as a musician, actor and performer. We will analyze your level of skill and fit you with the appropriate instructor in our Academy. We require all potential students to audition with a short monologue, vocal, guitar or piano piece. This will help us again analyze your current level of performance. All vocalists will be given a series of vocal exercises. Each lesson is tailored to fit the specific areas of work needed to become a better performer. We will record each of your lessons to facilitate you in your practice sessions.

Is "The Connected Voice Curriculum" TM mandatory?

Yes. This is your road map to healthy vocal training. The cost of the Curriculum is included in your first Annual Registration Fee.

Is there Scientific Research of the TCV technique?

Yes. First there are 18 pages of compiled scientific support for our vocal technique in the required vocal curriculum. There are also many websites that you can go on to read a more in-depth analysis about the voice and how it works. Many of these websites are listed on the Resources Page in the TCV vocal curriculum.

When is the next Annual Registration Fee due?

We collect the Annual Registration Fee before the next school year begins.

Do the students perform at recitals?

Advanced Mentor Pro-Voice Studios hold two recitals a year. The recitals are an opportunity for all students to be educated on the process taken to prepare, practice and perform in an organized public venue. Our recitals are focused on education and not a competition. Recitals are not mandatory but highly recommended for all students.

When is the next recital?

Please visit our on-line calendar for all upcoming events and activities at the Academy.
